Pawsicles For Healthy Tummies!

These pawsicles are great for dogs tummies! I had done some research on ways to help my dog naturally when she was diagnosed with a sensitive stomach by her vet. She would throw up often and it made me so sad to see her suffering with that. The vet put her on a medication but I was not happy with the idea of her being on it full time. I did research and found that pumpkin is natures miracle medicine when it come to dogs tummies! It treats both constipation and diarrhea! Amber was able to come off her medication and all she has to take now is a little bit of pumpkin a day which she loves and she NEVER vomits! Anytime my babies have any tummy issues pumpkin always makes them feel better!
Browsing pinterest I saw a recipe for frozen dog treats that had yogurt, peanut butter and baby food in it so I tried it out. My dogs loved it but I wanted to make it with pumpkin so it would be a beneficial treat for Amber and I wanted it to have a lot of yogurt too so that it would help my other dog Ralph with his yeast issues.  When making these treats there are 2 very important things you need to look for. The first is the pumpkin needs to just be pumpkin, usually the pie filling with spices and the plain pumpkin cans look similar. Look at the ingredients it should just say one word… pumpkin. The second important thing is the yogurt, always get plain there is no need for the extra sugars in fruit ones.  One alarming thing I read on pinterest was several recipes called for “light fruit” yogurt, that has the potential to be deadly to your pets.  The steps are pretty easy to figure out based on the photos but if you have any questions feel free to leave a comment! I get my silicone ice cube trays from the dollar section at Target they always have cute ones!!!!
Also please remember all things in moderation.  Amber is about 35 lbs and she get 1 pawsicles a day sometimes 2. Ralph is currently 94 lbs and gets 2 pawsicles a day sometimes 3.
